November 13th, 2011: The talented and beautiful French painter Aurelia Bey-de la Hera has just completed this new painting of Joie. Joie is a big fan of her work.

November 10th, 2011: A work-in-progress screening of Antony and Charles Atlas’ tour documentary film TURNING (which Joie appears in) is being presented at the closing night gala at Cph:Dox tomorrow night in Copenhagen… more information here.

April 15th, 2009: The very talented french painter and musician Cedrix Crespel recently made a beautiful 114×146 painting of Joie as part of his “Par, Pour, Sans Qui” exhibition which opened in London on October 23rd, 2008. The painting was sold and is now part of a private British collection – the series was published in an edition also entitled “Par, Pour, Sans Qui” – a 52 page book available in three different editions published in France by “g a l e r i e p e t i t j e a n.” All three editions of of the book are available for sale here.

April 6th, 2009: The single for “Epilepsy Is Dancing” by Antony and the Johnsons is now out! The limited edition 7” single whose cover is a collage made by Joie consisting of a photograph of Dr. Julia Yasuda by Don Felix Cervantes mixed with a beautiful drawing by Antony. Dr. Julia Yasuda is also featured in a short video by Joie entitled “Feminine” which is available to watch on www.antonyandthejohnsons.com

April 4th, 2009: Joie recently starred in Hercules and Love Affair’s music video for their hit single “Blind” along with Jamie Winstone. The video is directed by Saam Farahmand and was shot in London. Watch the video below!

April 15th, 2008: In 2006 Swiss photographer Georg Gatsas (www.georggatsas.com) photographed Joie in New York City’s East Village and included one of these photos in his 2007 exhibition ‘The Process’ at The Swiss Institute, NYC. His portrait of Joie is also included in his limited edition book ‘The Process V’ which is now out of print.

April 7th, 2008: Issue #29 of Stop Smiling Magazine features a beautiful photo spread entitled “Heads” by Joie’s friend, the amazing photographer Eric Johnson. The story features a portrait Eric took of Joie back in 2005.
